Marie Goyette (she/her) is a writer of literary fiction with a profound love for coming-of-age stories. She earned her MFA at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, where she won the Graduate Prize in Fiction. Her short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in Meridian (runner-up, 2025 Short Prose Prize), American Literary Review, Five South, Massachusetts Review, StoryQuarterly (winner, 2024 Fiction Prize judged by Deb Olin Unferth), North American Review, and elsewhere. She is co–fiction editor of Literary Mama, and is at work on a novel.

When Marie isn’t writing or reading, you can find her attempting to create the perfect smoothie, raising Monarch butterflies, going on long walks with her family, or playing Wordle (or any of its subsequent iterations) like she doesn’t have anything better to do with her time. Marie lives with her husband, kids, and doggos in Rochester, Minnesota.
